Riassunto
This thesis work illustrates the design phase from scratch of an oscillator for USB fast wake-up. The design specifications were derived from this application, based on which the type of oscillator to be realized and its fundamental characteristics were decided. The architecture that has been developed is fully integrated and oscillates at a frequency of 8MHz with good accuracy, partly thanks to a trimming system that has been implemented in this work, allowing it to fall within the acceptable ranges for this type of application.
The initial phase was to search for the most suitable solutions. Subsequently, a choice has been made and the consequent realization of an ideal circuit model in Cadence environment and a Matlab model was carried out. Then, the effective design of each block started.
