Riassunto (Italiano)
Left atrial appendage (LAA) is a cardiac structure involved in onset of ischemic cerebral events. In the last years, a growing interest has developed towards LAA analyses both for percutaneous LAA occlusion (LAAC) than for other conditions. Cardiac computed tomography (CCT) has emerged as an innovative methodic to analyze LAA, especially for LAAC planning. Different authors reported as, after LAAC, CCT can be used to identify an incomplete LAA occlusion1,2. Moreover, data from CCT regarding linear attenuation in LAA has recently correlated to velocity in LAA estimated with transesophageal echocardiography3. Aim of this project is to evaluate clinical use of CCT in two different scenario: one is for identification of residual LAA patency after LAAC, the other one is use the CCT to predict new onset of atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing to transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI)
