The paper proposes the use of the Multidimensional Synthesis Indicator (MSI) applied to data coming from the survey “Survey of Household consumption” to create a multidimensional measure of economic well-being of Households. A particular focus is then made on the relationship between the score of MSI and the educational level of the household, as proxied by the hat level. Finally, MSI is implemented combining education with single other expenditure categories, aimed at verifying the impact of the education level of the family on its allocation decision.
