Riassunto
Condition-Based Maintenance is a commonly used paradigm in the railway area. Nowadays, actors of the rail sector monitor on-board data by manually extracting the desired signal and thereafter importing them with elaboration tools. The aim of this thesis is to simplify the on-board signal acquisition and computerize the data-mining, while providing at once an user-friendly interface to the end consumer. To facilitate this, it was developed an agent server able to convert a purely visual language, such as LabVIEW, in a scripting language, which permits to automate the process of diagram creation. With the help of equipment mounted aboard trains, called GOCU, it was possible to retrieve and manage the on-board signals. Then, to manage the acquisition of the information, it was developed a tailored Data Distributed Service able to both decode the specific packets of the railway standard and restate them, optimized with smart caching policies. Finally, local tests have been carried out with on-board data recording to validate the system.
