Riassunto
The advent of digital platforms has reshaped the debate surrounding reproductive health, traditionally marked by issues of control and rights. Mobile health (mHealth) applications have become essential tools for individuals, particularly period tracking apps which facilitate the monitoring of menstrual cycles and reproductive health. However, these tools raise significant data privacy concerns, as personal health information may be dispersed across multiple entities with limited transparency. This study investigates how privacy laws worldwide regulate reproductive health data in period tracking apps and explores their impact on reproductive rights and autonomy. Through comparative analysis of the United States, Brazil, and Italy, the research aims to highlight both the protections and vulnerabilities users face regarding their reproductive choices and data privacy.
