Riassunto
This thesis work aims to determine the most suitable process parameters for a physical blend of polycaprolactone and hydroxyl-apatite powder and to examine the influence of some key process parameters (temperature of the powder bed, laser power, scan speed, layer thickness) on the properties (tensile strength, tensile modulus and elongation at break) of SLS printed parts. The development of a cranial implant will be proposed as an example to show the possibility of SLS to build up customized structures with high mechanical strength, stressing its key feature of well-adapted technology for the fabrication of tissue engineering scaffolds
