Riassunto
The heart microenvironment is critical for the optimal supply of blood to any tissue in our body, mimicking the complexity of the human heart is been a challange for many years.
The focus of thesis is the engineering of a novel device to better recapitulate the cardiac microenvironment in an in vitro model. In order to achieve this, a thorough understanding of the main components of human heart microenvironment is required and will be the focus of this thesis as well. Then, a combination of cell culture, fluidodynamics and bioprinting technologies will be implemented to fabricate the in vitro model.
