Riassunto
This work aims to evaluate the diagnostic performance of a new renal artero-to-venous coupling index (RAVC) as a predictor of acute kidney injury (AKI3) in post-surgical critical care patients, using the echo color Doppler method and comparing it to other renal indices, such as arterial resistance, venous impedance and renal systolic time intervals. This parameter is calculated as follows: (cardiac cycle time – venous flow time) / (total ejection time – pre-ejection time).
Conclusions: in this study, the artero-to-venous coupling index (RAVC) results to be the most accurate in predicting acute kidney injury.
