The present work is about the experimental wear investigation on total hip joint prosthesis. The case of a femoral ceramic head against a conventional Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) liner has been studied and analyzed. The objective of this study is creating a wear map of the UHMWPE liner over the time, improving our understanding in the field of tribology applied to artificial hip joints.
