• Returns to Education The Gambia Schooling Income

We evaluated the returns to education in The Gambia by using two nationally representative surveys from the country. We used the Mincer type estimation technique to estimate the returns to the different levels of education in The Gambia. This was done by exploiting exogeneous variation in school accessibility within the country at the district level at the time current income earners were born. Our results indicate a very high returns to education, in spite of the fact that they are heterogeneous across districts within the country, thus robust to interchangeable definition.
