Riassunto
As time goes by, cars are becoming more connected and composed of complex electronic devices. This
certainly allows for an improved driving experience, but at the same time introduces vulnerabilities that
can prove dangerous. The purpose of this thesis is precisely to implement a multi-featured intrusion de-
tection system, which can be used on CAN bus protocol, that is one of the most common communication
architecture used in automotive applications. The work developed in this study merges different detection
algorithms with the aim of revealing anomalies and cyber attacks, thus making the vehicle safer.
