Riassunto
Studying the distribution of the NEET phenomenon has become more and more relevant over those years. This work aims at estimating the spatial distribution of the NEET Rate in Italy, according to the official definition provided by Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT). The NEET variable has been created using the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) and different analyses, in terms of gender, territory and at risk of social exclusion, have been carried out. Applying Small Area Estimation Methods have allowed having a deeper knowledge of the social phenomenon over the country.
