Riassunto
The first part of this thesis work concerned about synthetic studies of phosphonite ligands, in particular we have developed the reaction between a dihalophosphine (PX2ArXyl2) and some kind of phenol derivative like: 3,5-xylenol, p-nitrophenol, 2,6-dichlorophenol. In the second part we have seen the reactivity of this phosphonite ligands with 2 different Pt(II) precursors, namely cis-[PtMe2(SMe2)] and cis-[PtPh2(SMe2)2]. The newly prepared complexes included: square linear complexes of Pt(II) formed by orto-metallation offered by one of the phenol substituents of the phosphonite ligands and linear complexes of Pt(0) formed by one-steped reductive elimination reaction involved with the cis-[PtPh2(SMe2)2] precursor. The final part talk about reaction between Cu(I) precursor like: CuCl and CuBr and previous ligands forming Cu(I) linear complexes.
