Questo elaborato di tesi è frutto del tirocinio della durata di sei mesi che ho svolto presso Horsa Way S.r.l., società facente parte del gruppo Horsa, importante realtà ICT italiana che progetta, implementa e governa soluzioni IT destinate alle imprese. Durante questo periodo, ho avuto modo di partecipare al progetto di Upgrade del Sistema Informativo per il cliente Forni S.p.a., azienda emiliana che realizza forni, e altri prodotti correlati, per cucine e laboratori professionali.
L’obiettivo di questo progetto consiste nella migrazione dal software ERP Microsoft Dynamics NAV, attualmente implementato ed utilizzato presso l’azienda Forni Spa, al suo successore Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, permettendo così all’azienda di gestire i propri processi produttivi tramite l’utilizzo di un sistema ERP aggiornato e maggiormente rispondente alle esigenze di una realtà industriale in continuo divenire.
Nel contesto di questo progetto di transizione al nuovo software ERP, critica è risultata l’analisi e la gestione delle numerose personalizzazioni implementate nel corso degli anni sul vecchio software gestionale, e il mio operato si inserisce appunto in questa fase progettuale, con l’obiettivo chiaro di comprendere come trasferire sul nuovo ERP Business Central una delle esigenze maggiormente sentite da un’azienda, come quella presa in esame, che realizza prodotti su commessa altamente customizzati: la configurazione tecnica di prodotto.

This thesis work is the result of a six-month internship in Horsa Way S.r.l., a company belonging to the Horsa group, an important Italian ICT company that designs, implements and governs IT solutions for businesses. During this period, I had the opportunity to take part in the Information System Upgrade project for the customer Forni Spa, a company based in Emilia that manufactures ovens, and other related products, for professional kitchens and laboratories.
The goal of this project is the migration from the ERP software Microsoft Dynamics NAV, currently implemented and used at Forni Spa, to its successor Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, thus allowing the company to manage its production processes through the use of an updated ERP system that is more responsive to the needs of an industrial reality in continuous evolution.
In the context of this project of transition to the new ERP software, the analysis and management of the numerous customisations implemented over the years on the old software was critical, and my work is part of this project phase, with the clear objective of understanding how to transfer to the new ERP Business Central one of the most important requirement for a company, such as the one under consideration, which produces highly customised products on order: the technical product configuration.
