Il presente elaborato è incentrato sulla traduzione di una selezione di documenti tratti dai processi alle streghe di Salem, accompagnata da un capitolo in cui vengono introdotti i concetti principali, ripercorrendo l'evoluzione della stregoneria nella storia, in particolare in Europa, Inghilterra e nelle colonie nordamericane del New England. L'ultima sezione è invece dedicata all'analisi degli aspetti linguistici più rilevanti emersi durante il processo traduttivo e alle rispettive scelte di traduzione.

This dissertation focuses on the translation of a selection of the Salem witchcraft papers, followed by a chapter on the main concepts concerning witchcraft, and the evolution of it throughout history, especially in Europe, England and in the North American colonies of New England. The last section is dedicated to the analysis of the most relevant linguistic aspects that emerged during the translation process and the respective translation choices.
