Riassunto
This master thesis focuses on the thermo-fluid dynamic investigation of electro-actuated automotive pumps, with a particular emphasis on their optimization and operation. It explores the interaction of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics to enhance the performance of these components, especially in the context of Pierburg Pump Technology Italy, a part of the Rheinmetall Group. The work uses Simerics software to apply both conjugated and coupled methods, examining their advantages and limitations through validation studies and practical simulations, including a real-world application with the Hydrogen Recirculation Blower (HRB). The thesis aims to bridge theory and practical application, contributing to the advancement of electrified mobility solutions.
