Riassunto
In the thesis we present recent progress in proving the asymptotic expansion conjecture of Witten regarding the Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants. In particular, we show how a generalization due to Charles and Marché allows them to prove the conjecture for an infinite family of hyperbolic 3-manifolds, namely a class of Dehn fillings of the figure eight knot.
