The mathematicians recognized as the founders of hyperbolic geometry are the Russian Lobachevsky (1792-1856) and the Hungarian János Bolyai (1802–1860). Lobachevsky's works on the subject have been the focus of numerous analyses, facilitated by the fact that he published several works in multiple languages, making his texts more accessible. Bolyai produced only one work, in Latin and known as the Appendix, as it was published as an appendix to a treatise by his father in 1832. The Appendix, while being a text of enormous historical and scientific importance, is extremely concise and complex. The primary purpose of this thesis is to provide a analysis of this work, with the aim of clarifying its content and facilitating its understanding.
