Riassunto
Novel ruthenium complexes (RAPTA like compounds) with potential anticancer activity have been synthesised at the University of Pisa. The new compounds have been designed and obtained by linking a ruthenium(II) frame to a bioactive fragment. The anticancer activity of one of the complexes has been tested at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
Mn and Fe carbonyl complexes have been prepared and their CO-releasing behaviours have been investigated at the University of York, under the supervision of Prof. I. J. S. Fairlamb.
