Riassunto (Inglese)
Riassunto (Italiano)
The aim of this study was to develop tools and methodologies to better understand advantages and disadvantages related to hybrid powertrains. The study was mainly focused on heavy-duty vehicles. A simulation tool was developed in Matlab-Simulink environment. This tool was applied to a specific methodology in order to simulate the behavior of several hybrid architectures and control strategies for a Forklift Truck. Simulation results clearly showed how hybrid can be suitable for hevy-duty vehicles.
