This dissertation examines the work of American writer Edgar Allan Poe through the lens of the various musical adaptations featured in the discography of the English rock group The Alan Parsons Project, with particular attention to the distinctive nature of the group as a musical project and to the cultural and artistic background in which it developed. Particular emphasis is placed on their debut album, Tales of Mystery and Imagination – Edgar Allan Poe, through an analysis of its musical and structural components.

Il presente elaborato verterà su una disamina dell'opera dello scrittore statunitense Edgar Allan Poe nell'ottica delle varie rielaborazioni musicali presenti nella discografia del complesso rock inglese The Alan Parsons Project, con una particolare attenzione alla loro peculiarità come progetto musicale e al background nel quale si è sviluppato. Grande spazio verrà dato soprattutto al loro primo album discografico, "Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allan Poe", con un'analisi delle sue componenti musicali e strutturali.
