Riassunto
The following study consists of a retrospective study, which evaluates and compares two groups of patients who have undergone surgery on the meniscus. The first group's treatment consists of a meniscal repair through all-inside suture, the second group's treatment is a partial meniscectomy.
After an introduction about the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee and the menisci, an excursus is made on epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, types of injuries and treatments. The results obtained from 3 subjective tests, to which the patients were subjected, are then compared to investigate the outcome and functional recovery in the two groups. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the suture group obtained a qualitatively better outcome than the meniscectomy one.
