Riassunto
SpaceWire (SpW) is a fault-tolerant high-throughput standard widely used in space and avionic applications. This thesis work discusses the prototyping and verification of a SpaceWire router Intellectual Property (IP) macrocell ECSS-E-ST-50-12C compliant, designed and developed by University of Pisa.
The SpW router IP core has been implemented on Actel antifuse technology, following the Actel design flow. In particular, the router has been mapped onto an Actel AX500 FPGA mounted in a Evaluation Board provided with an Actel Starter Kit. For prototyping the SpW router IP, custom IP blocks have been developed for interfacing it to the Evaluation Board. Furthermore, for testing purposes, a PCB daughter board has been designed and realized to connect the Actel Evaluation Board to external SpaceWire ports.
