Il presente elaborato analizza l’evoluzione del sistema bancario italiano nel periodo 2016-2025, concentrandosi in particolare sul ruolo delle BCC e sull’andamento del credito in Italia. Dopo un inquadramento storico e normativo che mette in luce le peculiarità delle BCC rispetto agli altri istituti di credito, viene esaminata la riforma del 2016, la quale ha rappresentato un momento di svolta per il settore, ridefinendo gli assetti organizzativi e le modalità di funzionamento delle cooperative di credito. L’analisi prende in considerazione anche le principali dinamiche del credito in Italia, soffermandosi sull’accesso ai finanziamenti, sull’evoluzione dei rapporti tra banche e imprese e sul contributo al tessuto produttivo.
This paper examines the evolution of the Italian banking system between 2016 and 2025, with particular focus on the role of BCCs and credit developments in Italy. Following a historical and regulatory overview highlighting the distinctive features of BCCs compared to other credit institutions, the study analyzes the 2016 reform, which marked a turning point for the sector by redefining the organizational structures and operational modalities of credit cooperatives. The analysis also considers the main credit dynamics in Italy, focusing on access to financing, the evolution of bank–business relationships, and their contribution to the productive sector.
