Riassunto
A new version of a methodology for frequency tailorization dedicated to the O&G sector, highlighting human contribute, was developed as an innovative tool to support risk assessment studies. Contrary to the previous version, human contribution has been defined and structured referring to a well-known HRA method. A representative example of its potential is provided by comparing its capabilities with the causes that led to the Deepwater Horizon blowout. Such exercise has the purpose to verify the quality of the method in terms of risk prediction accuracy through specific modification factors. A fire and explosion risk analysis was performed on a gas platform to show the potentialities and robustness of the method in offshore O&G risk assessment framework.
