Riassunto
This thesis work is the result of a six-month stage experience at Capgemini, aimed to develop a consulting project for Lombardia Informatica, helded in Milan.
The decision by the Lombardy Region to develop a new ERP product by SAP® required the design of a data-migration project. The working-group implemented the new project by the Data Warehousing application SAP NetWeaverTM BW.
The goal of the project has been to develop a proof of concept in order to demonstrate, the feasibility and the possible improvements, through the integration between the SAP NetWeaverTM BW and the main SAP reporting suite SAP Business Objects TM. The candidate has worked alone in order to design and develop a Business Object Universe, the semantic layer between an organization’s database and the end user.
