Nell'elaborato si studierà, tramite l'utilizzo della teoria degli affetti, la teoria queer e i trauma studies, il modo in cui desiderio e violenza sono intrinsecamente collegati tra loro durante tutta la raccolta, soprattutto in virtù dell'identità queer dei personaggi. Verrà analizzata l’evoluzione dei personaggi, come le cifre stilistiche di Siken restituiscano un senso di ansia e come questo venga risolto nelle ultime poesie della raccolta

Translation, comment and analysis of the poetic compendium Crush, written by Richard Siken. The author aims to study the text using tools from Affect Theory, Queer Theory and Trauma Studies, highlighting how desire and violence are intrinsically intertwined all along the book, also in relation to the queer identity of the characters. Among other things, a special focus will be given to how the characters evolve, and how Siken’s style communicates a sense of panic that only gets resolved in the last poems of the book.
