Riassunto
The thesis aims at investigating the transient response of the liquid-based Brayton-Joule PTES technology, with particular emphasis on its behavior in off-design conditions. First, a detailed thermodynamic model of the system is provided, with a focus on the study and the sizing process of the subcomponents. Then, the model is used to study and approach an innovative strategy for system regulation, referred as inventory control. Finally, The behavior of the dynamic system is tested under different scenarios in order to gain an understanding of its potential performance in the power sector.
