Riassunto (Italiano)
This thesis is focused on the design and development of highly integrated filters to be embedded in fast-switching converters based on wide bandgap devices, intended to be used in Wireless Power Transfer applications. To such aim, after an initial introductory investigation, a suited analytical model is developed followed by a circuital simulation model that is used to define a preliminary design of the filters referring to a case study. The material to be used for the core is then selected and tests are carried out on a sample to obtain its actual magnetic characteristics. Suited CAD and electromagnetic FEM models are then developed to achieve the final design of the cores and windings. Finally, the inductor prototype designed for the case study is assembled and some tests are carried out to validate its expected impedance.
