Riassunto
This thesis deals with the legal condition of women in the social and legal context of contemporary Iran with references to the protests following the death of Mahsa Amini, a Kurdish woman killed by the Iranian moral police because she was not wearing the veil correctly.
We will then focus on the violent repression by the authorities through the use of torture and death sentences. At the end we will see how the international community has sanctioned Iran for the violation of human rights.
