This thesis work presents the experience of a 3D acoustic full waveform inversion (FWI) applied on synthetic and actual seismic reflection data and performed making use of the SeisSpace software. The thesis is divided in two main sections, the first presents the application of a 3D FWI on a synthetic dataset derived from the Marmousi 2 model. The second part of the thesis is focused on the application of the 3D acoustic FWI on an actual dataset acquired in the context of geothermal exploration.
