Riassunto
This paper describes and analyzes the activities carried out during the curricular internship at Cluster Reply, focusing on the development of applications through Business Intelligence architectures. During the internship, I participated in two main projects: the first concerning data integration, data cleaning, and database creation; the second focused on data modeling, KPI analysis using the DAX language, and the development of interactive dashboards.

The first project, called GRC (Governance, Risk Management, Compliance), aimed to quickly identify risk areas within bank branches, assessing the likelihood of negative events and their potential impact. The starting architecture was a Business Intelligence solution previously used in similar projects, which needed to be adapted to the new context and data received from external sources. The main task involved cleaning the data and managing its insertion into the database using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

The second project, called Chatbot, focused on KPI analysis related to conversations managed by a chatbot and the creation of reports. The goal was to test the KPIs in the Visual Studio environment by developing a tabular model and using Power BI for reporting. The most challenging phase was correctly writing the measures in DAX language, ensuring they met the client’s KPI requirements.

The paper illustrates the working methodologies applied, provides a description of the tools used, and delves into the most significant activities, supported by images and real scripts. The document concludes with a reflection on the internship experience, highlighting the skills gap between academic preparation and the demands of the working world.
