Riassunto
The main aim of this thesis work is to develop a user friendly active device, capable of simulating the anatomical and functional characteristics of a neonatal lung providing a graphic user interface showing all the information a trainee needs to visualize in order to obtain a feedback about the simulated new-born status. The system is composed by two glass syringes and two dc linear motors whose shafts are coupled with the plungers, thus replicating in real time the volume of the simulated lungs. The control system is developed in LabVIEW.
