Riassunto
This work focuses on the dynamic response of an atmospheric balloon with tethered probe in the Venusian atmosphere (Venus Aerobot) and of a tethered satellite system (TSS) in low Earth orbit (LEO). A high-fidelity, fully custom simulator was developed to study the behavior of flexible tethers and aerodynamic bodies under atmospheric forces, orbital mechanics, and external perturbations. The core of the project lies in assessing the parameters that affect the equilibrium and dynamic behavior of the Venus Aerobot, and in analyzing the interaction between a pressure shock-acoustic wave (SAW) and a TSS in LEO. This work highlights the essential role of modeling and simulation in the design, validation, and optimization of tethered two-body systems, whether in atmospheric environments such as Venus or in orbital configurations for planetary remote sensing.
