Riassunto
The present study provides a framework to interpret the differences that exist between British and American culture.
I have analysed two recent TV series: Mistresses UK (2008) and Mistresses US (2013), whose dialogues and scenes are perfectly comparable because they are one the remake of the other.
I have combined a qualitative analysis with a quantitative computerized analysis in order to consider pragmatic, semiotic, cultural and socio-linguistic differences, which allowed me to depict British and American identities.
