Riassunto
In this thesis we studied the role of the novel c29 gene and protein, firstly isolated as a potential interactor of Xenopus otx genes, in the development of Xenopus laevis. In particular, we focused on the functional analysis of the activity of c29 by performing morphological and molecular marker analysis of the phenotypes, obtained by the injection of Moc29. Thus, our work has been carried on with the purpose to better understand the molecular bases of the activity of c29 and to locate this gene in a possible network involved in the development of anterior structures of Xenopus laevis embryos.
