Riassunto
This thesis is focused on developing a new analysis methodology for allowing the measurement of the yCP time dependent charm observable in D0 two-body decays at LHCb, during the upcoming data-taking runs, from Run 3 up to the HL-LHCb era.
As the available statistical precision on the measurement rises, issues regarding the increased Primary Vertex (PV) multiplicity per bunch crossing and the need of reconstructing the track detection efficiency are addressed in order to reduce the systematic uncertainty that would otherwise overwhelm the statistical one.
With a data-driven technique for retrieving such efficiencies being the core of the proposed strategy, the method is validated using both LHCb simulations and a subsample of real data taken in the 2018 period, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb^-1.
