Riassunto (Italiano)
This thesis investigates the security and energy efficiency of Wi-Fi HaLow networks, with a specific focus on the feasibility of Traffic Indication Map (TIM) attack, an energy depletion vulnerability that exploits power-saving mechanisms. The study presents a practical evaluation of the TIM attack on NRC7292 Wi-Fi HaLow card, assessing both the technical viability of the attack and its impact on device power consumption. Extensive experiments are conducted in controlled environments to measure energy usage under normal and adversarial conditions. Additionally, a comparative analysis of power consumption between conventional Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi HaLow is carried out to assess the effectiveness of the power-saving mechanisms defined in each standard.
