Riassunto
The overall goal of this project is to develop an approach to adapt EES to the surrounding ground to restore an individual’s locomotor capabilities more effectively. This is achieved through three specific objectives: 1) optimizing the EES stimulation parameters in an individual with SCI through the biomechanical analysis of locomotion; 2) developing and validating a wearable video-based system for automatically recognizing the type of ground in front of the participant; and 3) understanding how the hotspots of activation in the spinal cords changes while walking onto different types of ground.
