The aim of the research project is to validate a robust and rapid technique for qualitative and quantitative determination of tramadol (TRAM) in oral fluid samples using a portable prototype instrumentation based on capillary electrophoresis (CE) coupled with a fluorescence detection system. Traditional methods for detecting illicit drugs often face challenges related to either sample matrix or instrumental and processing limitations for on-site testing. The method optimized in this thesis aims to overcome most of these obstacles.
