Riassunto (Italiano)
Macroeconomics usually ignores the role of heterogeneity and wealth distribution on economic dynamics. Our purpose is to build a computational economic model which allows to take into account differences between agents and firm, hence to understand the mechanisms which lead to inequality.
Results show that heterogeneity in individual preferences and technologies is extremely important for such a system to reach full employment and generate non trivial dynamics, but it is not sufficient to reproduce important empirical regularities in the distribution of wealth.
