Riassunto
Logistic capacity planning plays a crucial role in the success of modern supply chains. Efficiently managing the flow of goods and materials is essential for meeting customer demands, reducing costs, and maintaining a competitive edge. The objective of this thesis is to explore the potential benefits and challenges of utilizing data warehousing and ELT data flows in the context of logistic capacity planning. By leveraging these technologies, logistics professionals can gain a comprehensive and real-time understanding of their operations, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding capacity allocation and resource optimization. It is important to note that the implementation of data warehousing and ELT data flows in logistics operations combines several infrastructure, data quality and data security. Overall, this thesis aims to report how capacity planning and forecast can be achieved with the help of data warehousing and ELT data flows.
