Riassunto
The scope of this thesis, developed with the chassis engineering design team at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center, is to compare the different capabilities of a six-mass model real time capable with a multibody, over a ride comfort evaluation. The two software have been parametrized with data coming from a prototype vehicle and have been compared among different maneuvers and simulation environments. A new simplified road profile, easy to control and to analyze the results, has been designed. The different behavior over frequency of the two tools has been deeply analyzed. As future next steps, the possible improvements to extend the validity range of the six-mass model have been described and highlighted.
