La tesi tratterà un aspetto del commercio vinario marittimo nel Mediterraneo Nord - Occidentale in epoca tardo-repubblicana e primo imperiale, prendendo come esempio il relitto della nave romana a dolia naufragata presso Diano Marina. Sarà trattato il relitto in questione, l'architettura delle navi da trasporto dell'epoca, con gli specifici accorgimenti riservati alle navi a dolia, i componenti del carico, il loro stivaggio a bordo e le linee di rotta seguite dalle navi della cui categoria faceva parte la nave il cui relitto è stato preso in esame.

The thesis will deal with an aspect of the maritime wine trade in the North-Western Mediterranean in the late Republican and early Imperial era, taking as an example the wreck of the Roman ship a dolia shipwrecked near Diano Marina. The wreck in question will be treated, the architecture of the transport ships of the time, with the specific precautions reserved for dolia ships, the components of the cargo, their stowage on board and the route lines followed by the ships of whose category it was the vessel whose wreck has been examined departs.
