Riassunto
This thesis presents the complete seismic data processing of a 2D land line acquired with vibroseis sources in the Viareggio Basin, Italy. The study focuses on improving subsurface imaging in a structurally complex area of the inner Northern Apennines, where challenges such as strong ground roll, near-surface statics, and amplitude inconsistencies were encountered. Processing was performed using SeisSpace ProMAX software and included steps such as geometry assignment, air blast attenuation, first-break muting, SVD-based ground roll suppression, static corrections, velocity analysis, amplitude recovery, and Kirchhoff depth migration. Special emphasis was placed on the effectiveness of Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) filtering and surface-consistent amplitude correction. The final migrated section shows significant improvement in reflector continuity, signal-to-noise ratio, and overall seismic image quality, making it suitable for future geological interpretation.
