Riassunto (Italiano)
The aim of this work is to point out the tasks of the theologian according to Albert the Great.
The first chapter focuses on Albert's Super Sententiarum and outlines both the methods used by the theologian and the essential psychological preconditions of his addressees.
This first survey reveals disciplinary inconsistency in Albert's description of disputative and exhortative theology. A resolution to this matter will be found, in the second chapter, by reading some passages of Albert's Postilla super Isaiam.
There, the two tasks of the theologian are properly outlined: 1) Apologetics, directed towards the heretics by means of disputative arguments; 2) Preaching activity, directed towards the faithful by means of exhortative discourse.
