Riassunto
In this dissertation, we analyze the impact of the French Revolution on the subsequent Italian economic growth. By employing historical data on the social and economical performances regarding each Italian Region, we compare the relative degree of development with the years of French occupation used as a measure of the intensity of institutional reform. The aim of this work is to check whether, or not, there exists a positive correlation between the French inspired institutional reforms and economic growth.
