Abstract (Italiano)
The energy footprint of large and middle-sized WLANs has become not negligible and its minimization is currently the focus of many research activities. By acting on the association between UTs and APs, it is possible to achieve considerable energy savings while preserving the same coverage and quality level as if the networks were running at full power. The basic idea is to conduct traffic demands to the minimum number of APs, in order to (possibly) switch off some of them.
