Riassunto
Industrial sites are one of the most signi cant sources of greenhouse gases emissions.
Nowadays, a great technological challenge is to conceive new energetic systems in order to reduce atmosphere emissions.
As mentioned in the title, the current work proposes an integration between industrial sites and a centralized cement plant, in order to reduce the equivalent CO2 emissions of the whole system.
The aim of this project is to carry out a techno-economic feasibility study of the integration proposed. For this reason an introduction about the state of the art of the technologies involved, with particular regard to Ca-looping and to Oxy-fuel
combustion in cement manufacturing, has been done. Are discussed the energetic general assumption under which components are modelled. Subsequently has been presented and modelled the reference case, composed by a BAT cement plant and two epresentative industrial sites, one feed with coal and second one feed with natural gas. In order to analyse various operative conditions of the proposed CO2 capture system, have been de ned di erent levels of integration called Scenarios.
Have been therefore carried out technical simulation by means of EES (Engineering Equation Solver) software, in order to collect, discuss and compare, energetics relevant data of reference case and various scenarios.
Finally, has been done an economical study to assess its feasibility.
