Riassunto
The thesis work will concern the synthesis and characterization of conjugated polymers of interest in the field of organic electronics and the characterization of their chemical and opto-electronic properties. The synthesis process will take place through the use of polymeric precursors developed in order to obtain polymers containing quinone units, with electron-withdrawing characteristics and a cross-conjugated conjugation pattern, or linearly conjugated and electron-donating counterparts. Different synthesis strategies and molecular geometries will be investigated in order to study the relationships between chemical structure and properties in thin films, so as to be able to optimize manufacturing processes.
